EXPANDED SCOPE OF ALLELOPATHY JOURNAL FROM 2023
Allelopathy is defined as in-vivo interactions between plants. microbes and animals. Until 2020, we published articles mainly related to Agriculture and Biological sciences. Since then, it is felt that the journal should expand its scope to include articles related to use of plant chemicals in human and animal health. With increased resistance to prevalent antibiotics, there is now greater interest in testing new plant chemicals, which have pharmaceutical properties to control a variety of human diseases such as cancer, diabetes etc. Further, it is also seen that some of the plant chemicals improve human and animal immunity to diseases. It is therefore felt that the journal should expand its scope and include the role of plant chemicals and microbial metabolites in human and animal health. Thus researchers may submit manuscripts related to the influence of plant chemicals on human and animal health. Manuscripts related to improving plant metabolites production through modern biotechnological applications are also welcome.
