World over, the Allelopathy Journal is the only journal in this new field of science, edited by an International Editorial Board. It has successfully completed 31 years of publication (66 volumes) till November 2025. It is published in both Print and Online Editions. The Journal is indexed in SCOPUS, BIOSIS and UGC Care List, Research Alert, Ulrich's Directory of International Periodicals and abstracted in CABI Abstracting Journals (Agroforestry Abstracts, Forestry Abstracts, Herbage Abstracts, Horticultural Abstracts, Nematology Abstracts, Weed Abstracts) and Indian Science Abstracts.
The Journal invites (A) Research Papers and Review Papers on all aspects of allelopathy and related areas including Health Sciences . Please prepare manuscripts in line with the Manuscript Preparation & Submission guidance.
A. Research Review
The Journal has started a Review Series (based on updated review of World Literature) on Allelopathic Plants spp. (Crops, Weeds, Trees, Shrubs, Bushes, Medicinal Plants). Till now Reviews on 35-Plants spp. have been published. You are cordially invited to prepare the Review on the plant spp. you are investigating.
The Ms. may be divided into following Sections: Title, Contents, Abstract, Key words, Introduction (Origin, Distribution, Habitat, Climatic Requirements, Economic Uses), Morphology, Allelopathic Research (Bioassays, Pot culture, Field Studies), Allelochemicals (Nature of allelochemicals identified, Mechanisms of action, Role in Pests Management), Future Areas of Research, References. Manuscript (Ms) may be prepared and submitted as per the Instructions to Authors and 'Model Manuscripts' available here Instructions to Authors.
B. Faster Publication of Manuscripts
From 2016, for faster publication of Mss, the Allelopathy Journal is published Bi-Monthly (January, March, May, July, September, November) in 3-Volumes per year. Hence Manuscripts are published within 60-90 days after Submission. Please prepare Mss. as per PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION and INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS and may be obtained from Prof. S.S. Narwal by Mail at Chiefeditor@allelopathyjournal.com, allelopathy2021@gmail.com, narwals2021@gmail.com.
C. Publication Charges (APC)
The Allelopathy Journal is self-sustaining and do not receive Funds from other agencies. Therefore, authors have to pay the Article Processing/Publication Charges (APC) to publish their research paper in Allelopathy Journal. These charges depends on the Human Development Index (HDI) of the Author's country. Authors from developed countries pay full Publication Charges. Discount is given to Author's according to their country HDI. Authors from India pay in Indian Currency. These Charges are based on Actual Number of Published Pages in Allelopathy Journal and are modest as compared to same Impact Factor Journals of Springer, Elsevier and PLoS One. PRE-PAYMENT OF THESE CHARGES IS MANDATORY, THEREAFTER MS. IS PUBLISHED.
D. Model Manuscripts
Many new Authors, submit manuscripts (Ms) to Allelopathy Journal written in their own style, which (i) causes inconvenience in its Processing, (ii) delays its publication and (iii) results in wastage of valuable time of Peer Reviewers and Editors.
Therefore, to help the Authors to know the format/style of Allelopathy Journal and for uniformity of submitted Ms., the 'Model Ms' outlines for (A) Research Papers , (B) Â Review Paper are given in our website www.allelopathyjournal.com . The Authors are advised to (I) strictly follow the outlines of Model Ms.', (II) type throughout in 12 Font in MS Word, (III) keep Figure size to (17.5 x 12.5 cms) and (IV) submit Ms. as single File (Text + Tables + Figures) by E. E. Manuscript Processing Steps
MS. PROCESSING STEPS : Before Publication, Mss undergo 15 - Processing stages including 5-Times Reviews (Preliminary Screening. English Improvement, Associate Editor, Peer Review, Chief Editor).
F. Submission of Articles
The Journal Editorial Offices are in USA, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Spain, Poland, China and India. The Instructions to Authors are published in all Issues of Journal and on the website www.allelopathyjournal.com . Please submit Electronic Ms. (Text in MS Word 2016, Figs in MS Excel Files) by E. Mail to Chiefeditor@allelopathyjournal.com, allelopathy2021@gmail.com, narwals2021@gmail.com to Prof. S.S. Narwal, Chief Editor, 101, Sector 14, Rohtak-124 001, Haryana, India. He will judge the Suitability of Ms. for Journal, those found suitable will be (i) assigned the Ms. ID Number and (ii) sent to Associate Editor for Processing.
G. Email Address Requirements
Since November, 2016, we make all Correspondence for Mss by Gmail, hence, we strongly advise all Authors to open Account in Gmail/Yahoomail/Hotmail for (i) Easy, (ii) Efficient, (iii) Fast and (iv) To ensure surety of delivery of our mails between us (Journal and Authors). Because many SERVERS in different countries are not compatible with Gmail, hence, we cannot correspond successfully with such Authors.
